Sicko Vs. Iron Man

http://www.imdb.com/

I finally got the opportunity to watch Sicko a documentary made in 2007 by Michael Moore. I must admit that I admire Michael Moore for his boldness to target issues that many suffer but don't speak up. I like watching movies/documentaries that make me think and I can learn something new from it. This film touched on two important things. First is formation of health insurance companies and second the idea of universal health care in the united state of America.
In this film, England, Canada and France health care system are compared with US health care system. The failure of this film was its lack of investigation of the reason for free universal care for the countries he examined. He failed to explain the amount of tax people of those countries are paying for this service. The sad part of the film was the story of the lives of the people who are working in health insurance industry including doctors. I won't spoil the movie if you are intending to watch, which I recommend it greatly!

Last Friday Pishi and I were invited from his company to watch Iron man on big screen. Now, as I mentioned above, I am into films that teach me something so you can see how I was shocked that I wasted 2 hours of my life, watching this movie!! Well, I think this movie is good for teenagers or people who are into animation or are bored of their lives and are looking for some loud noise! This movie could have had a great storyline because it started very well but the ended in a disaster! It could have had some eye opener concepts but ended with a strange conclusion that made me very disappointed! In any case, this movie is for pure entertainment.

Productivity!

This weekend, was very productive. I think I am getting the hang of my classes on Saturdays! Although I have to study 5 chapters already but now I know how to plan for my Saturdays!:)
Last night my parents and us went to visit my friend who gave birth a month ago. The baby was so tiny but quite. Apparently this baby girl wanted to give her mommy a mothers day gift. Gift you may ask? Yes, she decided to be quite and not cry as always and give mommy a break!
I am getting used to my braces but can't wait for it to be over!!
I am still on the fence about the idea that was proposed to me for having a 30 minutes show on a TV station! I don't know what to answer really! I am still thinking about it.
Now that I am caught up with "Lost" the series, and not watching continuously every day, pishi and I have got so much time on our hands! which at least is good because it gives me time to study but I think from the next week and I am going to plans for some activities!
Last night during the conversations, something interesting was mentioned. My dad was talking about Arash Naraghi's lecture in Toronto and about "praying". Some one mentioned that when you pray, you will get what you prayed for but it might not be straight. This sentence really striked me. I think there is some truth in it because when I think about my life, I have examples of how some of my prayers were answered eventually!
